Dr. Antonio Puente (2017 President of the American Psychological Association) will share some his thoughts on education, connections, mentoring, and the importance of events like this through a brief video introduction to the summit. Thank you Dr. Puente!
Dr. Victoria Pace (University of Central Florida) will give a wonderful talk about Industrial/Organizational Psychology entitled "The Psychology behind Getting a Job and Hiring Others".
Dr. Harold Shinitzky (The Johns Hopkins Medical Institution, private practice) will engage the audience with tales of his encounters with Olympic and professional athletes in his role as a sports psychologist.
Dr. Kathleen Hughes Stellmach (Psi Beta past president, Pasco-Hernando State College) will begin the day with a rousing presentation on mentoring.
Dr. Judy Bryant (University of South Florida) will give an awesome talk about language acquisition entitled “The pronoun problem and how English speakers solve it."
Dr. Leilani Goodmon-Riley (Florida Southern College) will give a talk entitled "The Effect of Landscape Photograph Type on Aesthetic Judgments, Attention, and Memory in Children with Dyslexia."
Yasmin MIranda (Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Disc Village) will give an exciting talk about the use of Harry Potter in a therapeutic setting.
Barry Silber (former Florida professor of the year) will give a Cafe Conversation about his educational and career path that went from social work to counseling to college professor.
Dr. Rana Moukarzel (I-O Psychology Professional) will share lessons, fresh insights, and advice in a lively and stimulating Cafe Conversation entitled "From Student to I-O Psychology Professional: Things I Wish I Knew."
